Postdoc

Since I earned my Ph.D. degree (June 2007) I established the foundations for the postdoctoral research on: ”Yemen – Synagogues and Hebrew Illuminated Bibles: The Immanent Connection”.

My postdoctoral research is: ‘Yemen – Synagogues and Hebrew Illuminated Bibles: The Immanent Connection’. In 2014, The Ben-Zvi Institiute for the Study of Jewish Communities in the East, Jerusalem, awarded me with a research grant for the subject.

Among the results of the postdoctoral research are:

The Ostriches Pentateuch, Rada’ (South Yemen) End of the Twelfth Century. Tema, Journal of  Judeo-Yemenite Studies 11: 60-90. (Pictures from the article available here).

The Earliest Known San’a Hebrew Illuminated Pentateuch, San’a, Yemen, 1206. In: Ayelet Oettinger & Danny Bar-Maoz (eds.), Mittuv Yosef, Yosef  Tobi Jubilee Volume. (3 volumes). Volume II, pp. xviii-xlv. Haifa. (Pictures from the article available here).

Do we have the Shalom Shabazi Pentateuch? Its Art program.

You are welcome to inform me on:

  • Hebrew Illuminated Bibles from Yemen.
